
Scholars' Farm Smoothie
A tasty smoothie which the students love
Ingredients
- 1 cup leafy greens kale, chard, spinach, collards, etc.
- 1/2 cup herbs Mint, basil, thai basil, parsley, etc.
- 1 cup liquid water, milk, dairy-free milk, juice, etc.
- 1 Cup frozen fruit
- 1 banana
- 1/2 cup of ice optional
Instructions
- Remove leafy greens from any fibrous stems (if applicable).
- Tightly pack leafy greens in a measuring cup.
- Add leafy greens, herbs and liquid to the blender and blend until smooth.
- Chop up fruit into small chunks.
- Add frozen fruit and banana chunks to the blender and puree until smooth and creamy.
- Pour into glasses and serve!
Notes
Highly customizable! You can use fresh fruit instead of frozen, or add things not on our ingredients list, such as honey!
