What is hydroponics farming?

Hydroponics farming is when you grow crops using water solutions mixed with various nutrients instead of soil.

  • Water efficiency: uses up to ten times less water than traditional farming methods
  • Higher yields: can produce up to ten times more food in the same amount of space
  • Less food waste
  • Controlled environment
  • Year-round growing
  • Protection against pests and no weeds

You can see all the crops that we grow on our Flavor Profiles page.

Crops are rotated out every six weeks or so.

For basil and other herbs:

  • store at room temperature
  • keep stems in water

For all other leafy greens:

  • Store in cold and moist conditions
  • Crops should be stored, wrapped in a paper towel in an airtight container or plastic bag then put in the fridge in the “crisp drawer”
